So, What Are Dentures?
Dentures are removable, artificial, replacement teeth, also known as dental prosthetics.
Will Dentures Improve My Situation?
Absolutely! You already know the problems that tooth loss can cause. When you have missing or extracted teeth, this dental prosthetic is an excellent solution for helping you with chewing fiber-rich food as well as improving your appearance and boosting your self-confidence.
Dentures help you get your life back.
What Kind Of Traditional Dentures Are Available?
Times have changed at the dentist’s office. We’ve come along way since the days of wooden replacement teeth!
Removable dentures are better now than in earlier eras of dentistry. Here is what you can expect with these: a set of natural-looking replacement teeth held in a gum-colored mold.
Full dentures can replace an entire arch of teeth. They fit snugly over your gums, and they are held there by a combination of suction and a special adhesive.
Partial dentures replace some of your teeth in a row. They are usually held by small clasps holding on to neighboring teeth.
Both are easy to clean, because you can take them out as needed.
Are Implants Ever Used To Stabilize Dentures?
For Sure! If you want or need a stronger hold, we offer two kinds of dentures that are held firmly in place with dental implants.
Implant-retained dentures snap onto several implants with ball-shaped heads, and implant-supported dentures use a long, slightly curved bar to connect to the implants.
Both provide a stronger, more solid hold than removable dentures and Dr. Vareldzis especially recommends implant-supported partials over fixed bridges because they are more affordable and do not put additional stress on the nearby teeth.
Are Temporary Dentures A Real Thing?
Yes. It can take us a little time to carefully craft the replacement teeth you deserve. This ensures those teeth look and feel natural. But in the meantime, you’re still left with a large gap in your smile. That’s never good.
That’s why we offer temporary dentures. These are removable and designed to last until a more permanent solution is ready.
